Wear Farm City Park

Wear Farm City Park: Spacious Playgrounds, Trails & Family Recreation in Pigeon Forge

Not every family outing needs tickets, reservations, or a packed itinerary. Wear Farm City Park offers a simple place to let kids play, stretch their legs, enjoy a walk, or spend some relaxed time outdoors during a Pigeon Forge stay.

Set on 118 acres along Wears Valley Road, the park combines playgrounds, walking trails, sports facilities, picnic pavilions, and open recreational space. It can be especially useful for families who want a slower-paced break between the area’s bigger attractions.

About Wear Farm City Park

Wear Farm City Park is Pigeon Forge’s main multi-purpose park, located at 623 Wears Valley Road. The 118-acre property includes five lighted youth baseball and softball fields, a lighted football field, a multi-purpose field, two playgrounds, walking trails, basketball courts, and two covered pavilions.

Families with younger children have two playground options. The Wear Farm Playground is designed for children up to age 12, while the Rotary Inclusive Discovery Playground is also designed for children up to age 12 and is fully accessible for children with special needs.

The park’s two covered pavilions provide picnic tables, grills, electrical outlets, and lighting, making the space useful for family gatherings and reunions when reservations are appropriate.

There are also concession and restroom buildings within the park.

Why Guests Love It

A good break from attraction-heavy days
Pigeon Forge can quickly become a full schedule of shows, rides, museums, and paid attractions. Wear Farm City Park gives families somewhere to simply slow down and let the kids play.

Two playgrounds for younger guests
Having two dedicated playground areas makes the park particularly useful for families traveling with younger children. The inclusive Discovery Playground provides an additional option for children with special needs.

Plenty of space for groups
With 118 acres and multiple recreational areas, Wear Farm works well for larger family groups who need more room than a typical neighborhood playground.

Walking trails add a quieter activity
Not everyone needs another high-energy attraction. The walking trails give parents and grandparents an opportunity to enjoy some movement and fresh air while the kids play.

Useful for family gatherings
The covered pavilions include picnic tables, grills, electrical outlets, and lighting. They can be reserved for parties, reunions, and other gatherings during the applicable reservation season.

Stay Hello Sunshine Tip

Wear Farm City Park is a lovely low-pressure addition to a family day in Pigeon Forge. Instead of filling every hour with an attraction, give the kids time to run, play, and explore while the adults enjoy a slower pace.

For larger groups staying at Sunshine Around the Bend, it can also be a practical stop before returning to the cabin for dinner. After some time outdoors, everyone can regroup around the gourmet kitchen, relax on the wooded deck, or let the kids continue the evening in the Dolly Parton-themed game room.
