Legacy Mountain Ziplines

Legacy Mountain Ziplines: High-Flying Smoky Mountain Views in Sevierville

For families and groups who want to experience the Smokies from a completely different perspective, Legacy Mountain Ziplines takes the adventure above the treetops.

Located on Legacy Vista Drive in Sevierville, this mountain zipline experience combines multiple lines, elevated platforms, wooded scenery, and wide views of the surrounding Smoky Mountains. With tours welcoming guests ages 4 and up who meet the weight requirements, it can be an exciting option for families traveling with older children and adventurous grandparents.

About Legacy Mountain Ziplines

Legacy Mountain Ziplines is located on 400 acres in Sevierville, about six miles from the Pigeon Forge Parkway. Its signature experience is a seven-line zipline tour that takes approximately two and a half hours.

The course reaches heights of up to about 480 feet and includes approximately 2.5 miles of zipline cable. Guests travel between lines with trained guides, with minimal walking between several sections of the course.

The experience uses full-body harnesses, automatic braking, and a dual-line system. Riders must weigh between 40 and 270 pounds, and guests under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

The company also accommodates group outings, making it worth considering for families traveling together, reunions, birthday trips, or groups of friends.

Why Guests Love It

The views are part of the experience
Rather than simply moving through a wooded course, Legacy Mountain offers elevated perspectives across the surrounding Smoky Mountain landscape. For guests who enjoy combining adventure with scenery, the views are a major part of the appeal.

A memorable family adventure
With participants as young as 4 who meet the requirements, families can experience the activity together. Younger riders under 16 need an accompanying adult, which can make it easier for parents or grandparents to participate alongside children.

Seven lines create a full experience
This is not a quick single-ride attraction. The seven-line tour takes around two and a half hours, giving your group time to settle into the experience, move through the course, and enjoy the mountain setting.

Guides help first-timers feel comfortable
Guests do not need previous ziplining experience. Guides provide the equipment, safety briefing, and instruction before the group heads onto the course.

Works well for group trips
Legacy Mountain can accommodate groups, with typical tours handling up to 12 guests. Larger groups can contact the company about arranging their outing.

Insider Tips

  • Arrive about 30 minutes early for check-in, gear fitting, and the safety briefing.
  • Complete the required waiver ahead of time when possible to make arrival easier.
  • Wear comfortable clothing and fully enclosed shoes with a closed toe and heel. Avoid loose clothing, dangling jewelry, and anything that could get caught during the experience.
  • Tie long hair back and keep phones and other loose items secured.
  • Check the current age and weight requirements before booking, especially when traveling with younger children.
  • Tours can operate in rain, but high winds or lightning may affect operations. Mountain weather can change quickly, so check conditions before heading out.
  • Allow around 2½ hours for the zipline tour itself and additional time for arrival and check-in.
  • If you’re traveling with a larger family or group, plan the activity in advance so everyone who wants to participate can be scheduled together.

Stay Hello Sunshine Tip

Legacy Mountain Ziplines is a good choice for the more adventurous members of your Sunshine Around the Bend group, especially when you want one memorable activity to anchor the day.

After spending a few hours in the mountains, head back to the cabin for a slower evening. The wraparound deck and wooded setting give everyone space to decompress, while the hot tub, private fire table, gourmet kitchen, and Dolly Parton-themed game room make it easy for the group to continue spending time together without heading back out.
